천대광 풍경

Dai-Goang Chen : Scenery

이번 전시에서 작가 천대광은 빛과 자연, 물이 어우러진 지금 것 존재하지 않았던 가상의 풍경을 가시화하였다. 사루비아에 연출된 풍경은 빙산과 땅의 지형처럼 자연과 접촉했던 작가의 경험을 통해 만들어진 공간이지만, 이미 공간 안에 내재해 있던 자연의 형상일 수도 있다. 작가는 단지 그 공간적 흐름을 읽어내고 그 형상을 드러내는 역할을 했을 뿐이라고 이야기한다. 빛, 자연, 물이 어우러진 인공적인 풍경을 거닐며 관객은 또 하나의 심상을 그리게 된다.

Dai-Goang Chen visualised an imaginary landscape composed of light, nature and water. The created scene in the Sarubia space is the reflection of the artist's personal experience with nature such as icebergs or geographical features. But may be this could be the natural landscape that had already indwelled within the gallery space. He says that he only played the role of understanding the flow of the space and revealing its form. The visitors are invited to stroll through the artifical landscape mixed with light, nature and water and to dream of another emotional space.
